Mac & Cheese just got a gourmet upgrade with ✨Taleggio Cheese ✨ So creamy and delicious. I hope y’all give it a try & enjoy!
Recipe:
2 cups macaroni (uncooked)
12 oz of Taleggio PDO, cubed
1 tsp garlic powder
Pinch of nutmeg
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups Milk
2 tbsp Butter
2 tbsp flour
*Extra Pieces of Taleggio on top*
Topping:
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
Garlic powder
Fresh Parsley
Pinch of salt and pepper
Directions:
-Cook your pasta according to package instructions.
-Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
-Add the flour and whisk constantly to form a roux.
-Gradually whisk in the milk. And whisk until the mixture is smooth.
-Bring the mixture to a simmer, stir frequently until sauce thickens.
-Add in your cubed Taleggio and stir until fully melted in.
-Remove from heat and add in salt, garlic powder and nutmeg and stir.
-Mix the sauce with the cooked macaroni.
-Place in a 9x9 baking dish and then evenly add your bread crumb mixture on top.
-Add extra pieces of Taleggio cheese on top.
-Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden and the pieces of Taleggio have melted.
Optional* broil for a couple of minutes.
