My client wanted a high impact blonde with a soft grow out. So I hand painted her hair to give it a custom, lived in look. Took about 3 inches off the length and freshened up her layers. Need your hair done? I am taking clients freelance. Shoot me a DM to book!

Our film, Hicks Happy Hour, was such a pleasure to work on. I was so lucky that trusted me to help bring these characters to life through hair. So far, our film has won a Student Emmy, is being shown at and will be at next month. I’m so proud of the work we did here!

I took this picture in Toronto the day after a very devastating breakup. It was 2013. I had just turned 30. I was head over heels for a well known musician. We’d dated on and off for 5 years. But he’d told me the night before that he was in love with someone else. I was devastated. But I remember picking up my coat, walking out of the bar and into the freezing night. I refused to beg. I decided ti choose myself and finally let him go. The next day, I’d vowed to make myself feel better by going out and about all day. It was sunset and I was walking back to my place. I looked up and this was directly in front of me. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I had finally stopped trying to force someone or something to happen. I had to pivot. I had to change. This would become a theme. I had learn to adapt and change in a new city with new people. I had to pivot into learning to hear rejection from the film industry but to keep going. Through a toxic marriage and divorce. Two more cross country moves. Starting over and over. Yeah, I’ve changed. I hardly know that 30 year old girl who was standing in that street. Tears streaming down her face as she sipped hot chocolate in the freezing cold. But I’m so glad I knew her. Here I am again, changing and growing. Not working in a salon. Booking clients one on one. Doing things o.n my terms. Still pushing and fighting for the film industry to accept me. Still wildly looking for love and hoping it will find me. Am I scared? Hell yes. Will I give up? Absolutely not. I don’t know what’s next. But I’m ready. I’ve changed. Thank you for changing with me. I’m so grateful for clients that have supported me. People that have said my name and booked me for projects. Friends that have listened to me. I cannot wait to see what’s next. I have no clue what it is. But I know it’s big. Big change and shifts come on the verge of something better. Stay tuned ♥️ •
