Everyone loves the aesthetic before and after photos. Those are great! BUT what I love more is the health and wellness benefits of lymphatic drainage.

Part 2 of my menopause series.

Since posting Part 1, I’ve received so many messages from women sharing their experiences with depression, anxiety, mood changes, and simply not feeling like themselves during menopause. I’ve also received countless messages thanking me for sharing my own experience because they felt seen, understood, or finally had words for what they were going through.

That alone verified for me how little we talk about this.

I’m not a doctor, and I’m not saying menopause is always the cause of depression. But hormonal shifts can have a significant impact on how we feel mentally, emotionally, and physically.

If you’re struggling, advocate for yourself. Ask questions. Have conversations with your healthcare provider. Consider having your hormone levels evaluated and don’t ignore what your body may be trying to tell you.

Menopause is more than hot flashes and missed periods. For many women, it can affect every aspect of well-being.

You are not alone. 🤍

Puffy, heavy, slow to bounce back? Your lymphatic system might need backup. 🤍

Here’s the thing: your lymph has no pump. It clears you out through movement, hydration, and the terrain you build from within and chronic inflammation quietly stalls it. Save this for your next grocery run. 🤍

BRB, I’m really busy! 💗

This happens OFTEN! ❤️

Here’s the thing though. Brazilian lymphatic drainage can’t start a cycle that wasn’t already coming. But if your period is only a few days away, your body is already primed to shed… and a session can gently tip the timing. (Swipe)

One of the most common questions we get before someone books is:

“Do you use tools or just your hands?”

The answer is simple: we are a hands-only spa.

Now before the tool lovers come for me, I do think tools have their place. For at-home maintenance, self-care, and supporting your results between treatments, they can absolutely be helpful. I LOVE a good face and body Gua Sha!

But over the years we’ve seen many post-op clients come through our doors after starting recovery elsewhere where aggressive wooden tools were used far too early or far too aggressively. In some cases, it created more irritation, inflammation, discomfort, and swelling rather than helping the healing process.

And honestly? Some of the videos I see online of therapists absolutely going ham on a fresh post-op body with wooden tools make me cringe. 🫣

Lymphatic drainage isn’t just an aesthetic treatment. It’s a wellness treatment.

It’s about understanding anatomy, respecting the healing process, and knowing what the tissue underneath is doing.

With our hands, we can:
✨ Feel fluid pockets
✨ Identify areas of swelling
✨ Assess scar tissue and fibrosis
✨ Monitor sensitive areas
✨ Adapt pressure instantly

A wooden tool can’t tell you if a lymph node feels swollen. It can’t feel a seroma. It can’t assess tissue quality. It can’t adjust pressure based on what it’s feeling.
