Our film, Before You Let Go, has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Short Form (Live Action).

This recognition feels immense. To be acknowledged by the NAACP Image Awards (an institution that has long championed Black excellence, care, and cultural impact) carries real weight to us. Thank you for seeing us !

This film exists because of an extraordinary team of collaborators who trusted my vision and met it with generosity, patience, and heart. Every frame was shaped by artists who believed deeply in the story and in one another. I’m incredibly proud of what we made together.

And lastly, but most importantly, a deep gratitude to and the Find Your People Program for creating spaces that bring filmmakers together and investing in us to make moments like this possible.

Some of my favorite moments in Kyoto!
I ran around Nijo-Jo Castle every morning for a week!
Went to Fushimi Inari Shrine and hiked up Mt Inari.
Laid in the park at the Kyoto Imperial Palace and visited the market and went to TeamsLab Tokyo which I will post those photos separately. I will visit Kyoto again and again. A must do!
