Isaiah 43:19 says “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”
Goodness, walking away from this career is scary. It’s like walking away from a family that chose me and continues to choose me over and over again. The Lord sent me the most amazing, kind, beautiful, and loving clients and I’m so thankful for 18 years of being behind the chair. But as the scripture says, the Lord is doing a new thing.
As most of you know, for the past year or so I’ve been battling extreme exhaustion and burn out. I sought treatment and went to therapy and finally I did the thing I know I should have done first, I sought the Lord to heal me instead of relying on my own understanding.
In my seeking I realized how much I made my career and idol. How I’ve found my value and my worth in what I do instead of who He made me. In short, now I know true healing can’t come until my priorities align with who God made me to be.
So, 6 weeks ago I decided to answer the call to step away from my work to dig deep for the healing only He can provide and on Dec 13th I’ll lay down my shears and step away from the chair to be a full time wife, mom, and granddaughter.
I’ve loved almost every moment of being a stylist. I’ve loved being with you for your first haircuts, prom, graduation, your wedding, before and after the birth of your children, and I’ve even loved styling your hair for your funeral. Each and every moment a gift from the Lord. We have laughed, cried, and prayed together. Sometimes I prayed for you and you never knew. So many moments I’ve treasured up in my heart.
I don’t know what the Lord has planned. If I’ll be gone 6weeks or 6 years. Maybe I’m done with this chapter entirely, so I’m saying goodbye just in case. But how Blessed am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard?
As for each of you please know I’m happy to help you transition to a new stylist. I’ll be tagging several of my favorite stylists here and I’m happy to send your color formulas anywhere you choose to go.
Thank you, all of you, whether you sat with me once or 300 times.

Thank you so much for all the clients following me to my new salon home! For all upcoming appointments please be aware that the salon is under construction to make way for growth and progress. If you are sensitive to loud noise please bring ear plugs or noise cancelling ear buds to make your experience more comfortable. It’s such a small price to pay for progress and the future of Elevated experience.

Used google translate to say a formal goodbye to my cleaning crew that I’ve grown to love. I ordered for my last Friday and said goodbye sweet Mrs. Ahn. Now it’s time to pack up and close this chapter of my life. I’m thankful for my first haircut Barbie, that old school pencil sharpener that was the topic of many fun conversations, and delicious food. New beginnings start on Tuesday I’m sad and excited at the same time.
