We at Salon Bacco would like to say our hearts and thoughts are with Breonna Taylor’s family and friends on what should have been her 27th birthday. We stand against racial discrimination. While we do not condone violence...we understand the rage when peaceful protests go unheard. And we full heartedly believe that black lives matter.

Today Salon Bacco will be reopening. We have made a few changes but WE are still the same. We look forward to seeing each of you. And while we no longer have a waiting room...we have created a great outdoor space for your social distancing.

The following will accompany your appointment reminder text...

Your safety and the safety of the staff is our top priority. Therefore, along with the CDC and The Kentucky State Board of Cosmotology, we have set the following guidelines in place for your next visit to Salon Bacco.

When you arrive at the salon please call the salon and someone will meet you at the door. We can see clients by appointment only. We are required by state board to take your temperature, apply hand sanitizer and provide you with a mask if you do not have one. Clients and staff are required to wear masks for your entire service.

Due to the limited number of people allowed in the salon at any given time, only the person with the appointment is allowed to enter the building. The waiting area will be closed for now.

We are not allowed to offer beverages of any kind. Also clients are to bring with them only their phones and a form of payment. At this time, credit card are the preferred form of payment. However, cash and checks can be accepted. No handbags, laptops, food or drinks. Also, please leave coats and scarves in your car.

If you need product we will assist you by getting it from the display shelf, sanitize and bag it for you. It will be waiting for you at the front desk. This is to cut down on surface contact. We also ask that you refrain from moving about the salon. This is due to keeping compliant with social distancing guidelines.

When getting shampooed, clients must keep their eyes closed and refrain from talking the entire time at the bowl. Face to face communication can only be done at six feet apart while masked.

Our guidelines suggest that “heated forced air” can potentially spread the virus. Therefore, at this time, we will not be offering blowouts with your service. Instead, if you choose, we will provide an Aveda Botanical Leave In Treatment at no additional charge. Also, at this point, we will only be offering brow waxing as lip waxing is impossible due to masks.

Most of you know that we are huggers. Unfortunately, at this time we will have to hug each other with our eyes and words.

We have built deep and lasting relationships with you that far exceed that of client and stylist. Please know, even though we can’t embrace you with our arms...you are most definitely in our hearts.

Hello Everyone,

Salon Bacco will be reopening on May 25th. We have started booking appointments. We are trying our best to do this as fairly as possible. As you can imagine, rebooking 11 weeks of missed clients, along with the new guidelines, has its challenges. We can do this together. If you need an appointment please call the salon at 502-451-9100.

With the high volume of calls we may be unable to answer the phone. Please leave us a message and we will call you back.

We look forward to hearing your “quarantine stories” and seeing your smiling eyes. 😷

After much consideration we have decided that the responsible thing to do is to temporarily close Salon Bacco until April 7th. It is not possible for us to provide services at a safe distance. Even though we are diligent about sanitation the thought of someone contracting this virus is far more expensive than the cost of temporarily closing our doors. Together we can and will beat this. However, it will take each of us making sacrifices to do so. If you have an appointment in this time frame we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and we will be in contact to reschedule. Please take care of you and yours and we will see you on the other side of this madness. And please remember to check on your neighbors. Not everyone has the available funds to stockpile food and other provisions.
