Join us for Power in Practice: The Long Arc of Black History - a Black History Season conversation grounded in power, resistance, and liberation.

On Monday, February 16, Simmons College of Kentucky hosts a revolutionary dialogue at Roots 101 featuring Elaine Brown, former Chairman of the Black Panther Party and author of A Taste of Power, and Dr. Kevin W. Cosby.

This conversation makes the case for Black History Season, because Black history cannot be confined to one month. It spans generations, movements, and systems.
We call on community leaders, organizers, educators, and justice advocates to be in the room.

Black history didn’t survive because it was celebrated. It survived because it was organized, defended, and fought for season after season.
