I have gone back and forth for 24 hours on whether or not to post this, how to post it, what people will think, etc. I’m going with my gut and the love I have for you all because I know you all would want to know this exists and I would get an earful from you if I kept it to myself.

If you’ve sat in my chair in the last three years then you have heard my story. I am four miscarriages in as of September. IVF is now our best and only option for growing our beautiful little family. Which also happens to be extremely expensive.

With that being said my incredible sister and my wonderful best friend started a gofundme to help with our journey. I’m going to leave this here. Do with it what you will. There is no obligation for anything. Say a prayer, light a candle, but please no blood sacrifices. Love ya.

📢UPDATE! Miss y’all! 🫶

Hello you beautiful humans! So it turns out I have a complete tear of my rotator cuff that is in desperate need of repairing! I’m lucky enough to have been worked in on the schedule so quickly because ya girl is in some serious pain! Unfortunately this surgery has a recovery time of at least 6 weeks. I am going to work real hard to make sure I’m back asap!! I have a ton of appointments that are currently on the book that will obviously need to be rescheduled. I’m still in the process of figuring out good alternatives for everyone. I will be texting or calling all of those appointments to chat about our options. I’ve been pretty overwhelmed with the whole situation so allow me some grace while I work through it!

I don’t go to work. I come to a room that has a warm and welcoming vibe. I hangout with badass humans all day. We take turns lifting and supporting each other. We laugh and cry and sometimes share meals together lol.

I get to make walking art every day for sometimes 10 hours a day. Who can say that they never feel like they go to work? How privileged am I? I’m forever grateful for this life. Thank you for letting me live this.

A huge shoutout to anyone I have had to reschedule for the last month due to some health issues. Everyone has been so accommodating and supportive and I can’t thank you enough. I’m doing better and I’m back full time!!

I opened J Muse Studio in November 2019. I was literally winging it and hoping for the best. I knew I loved hair and I knew I loved being a Day Maker. I was banking on that carrying me through it all. Well then Covid-19 happened and just pure panic ran through my blood.

The months salons were shut down were probably some of the weirdest times. I was scared, anxious, and so exhausted from the mental gymnastics I was doing. But I was honestly more stressed about coming back to work than I was not working. I was worried about my safety, my family’s safety, and ultimately, my client’s safety.

Here we are about a year and a half later and I say with the most pride I have ever felt in my life…. I am THRIVING and J Muse is THRIVING and my CLIENTS ARE THRIVING. That feels so good to say.

Looking at my book and seeing it packed for weeks out sometimes makes me so tired (LOL). But…. most of the time I look at it and think “holy cow I love my clients and the amount of support they give!” Lol!! So thank you! Thank you thank you! What a beautiful journey this has been!! I could ~*literally*~ not do this without you. You all hold such a special place in my heart!
