being our healthiest, happiest, most vibrant cells is not about having a perfect diet, or doing everything ārightā!
Itās about acknowledging and embracing what we enjoy, making great choices for ourselves, most of the time, and absolutely savoring, without guilt, when we do indulge in things that we know are not to healthiest.
Luckily, when you know your body: your hormones, your digestive style, your Ayurvedic dosha , etc. then you know **exactly šÆ how to find YOUR perfect balance with food, drink, movement, and an approach to life that feels fun and sustainable.

Are you overdoing it with supplements? If youāre like so many of my clients, the answer is probably yes!
Itās totally understandable, though. We are being sold to online all the time. I often joke with clients that our algorithms know us all TOO well š³.
They know weāre going through perimenopause, or experiencing weight gain, or anxiety. So the newest, most trendy supplements show up āmiraculouslyā in front of our face everywhere we look.. and that natural human curiosity (and sometimes desperation š„µ!) of, āwhoa! Maybe I NEED this?!ā pops up, so we buy, buy, buy! šø
The downside to this is not only that we waste a lot of money and mental energy, but that our digestive systems in our sensitive bodies simply canāt handle swallowing this many pills every day.
Ayurveda has spoken for 5000 years about the importance of āagniā or digestive fire š„. This concept encompasses your appetite, your metabolism, your absorption of nutrients, your microbiome, and gut health, and so much more.
And unfortunately, one of the quickest ways to damage and compromise. The efficiency of your agony is taking too many supplements!
This is why I help my clients streamline their supplement regimen. And yes, sometimes this means throwing away lots of old, expired items, but in the name of really constraining, and focus, focusing in on two or three herbal formulas and supplements that are going to treat the root causes of your issues.

Whatās your take??
Getting data on your body is a personal choice.
For some women itās THE factor that illuminates š”and shifts everything! ā¦Uncovers root causes of symptoms theyāve struggled with for years⦠gives them a clear path forward, finally revealing what to treat and how to feel better⦠like themselves again! š
For other women, too much data (numbers, stats š) triggers their pursuit of health āperfectionismā, or the need to try to fit their unique body into some rigid set of āidealā reference ranges.
But as a functional medicine labs practitioner who has interpreted countless hormone lab test results, and tested myself twice.. HEREāS THE TRUTH:
š§Ŗ Everyone is different
š§Ŗ No one is in the āidealā reference ranges for every hormone
š§Ŗ Your normal/ healthy is different than someone elseās
š§Ŗ Estrogen & progesterone are often over-emphasized in many doctors approaches to āgetting the numbersā. Low s*x hormones arenāt giving the full picture, and are often just a signal that something deeper needs to be addressedā¦

What would YOU do if you knew you COULD?
Time, money, schedules be damned! Although these are very real parts of our lives, we often over-emphasize them and use them as (legitimate but disempowering) excuses to not do the things we want to do.
it all starts with allowing your brain to feel that little glimmer that āit might be possible āI have wanted to fit in a weekly yoga class for years, but never found the right length or time or location to jive perfectly with my family and work schedule.
I told myself a lot of disempowering victim stories about this for a long time. How it was āso hard for me, how our family has extra medical considerations and that limits meā, etc.
While those two things are actually true on a lot of levels, but staying in that thinking made me feel resentful, discouraged, and honestly pretty toxic inside!
Which made me need to move my body all the more, to shake that negative energy! Well, this morning I left the house early, and Danielle did all the morning stuff with the kids, while I went to move my body, and be with myself in the quiet focus, focused energy of uplift gym at Bowman Field.
Iām sharing this with you for two reasons. Number one, please support me in this and help me accountable! I want to do this twice a week. Also, though, I want to share with you that you can do things that you wanna do. Things that would make your life better. Things that feel impossible, for lots of good reasons right now.
