Attention Clients and Friends,
Like many of you, I am watching the news with anticipation of reopening my business. I have received many questions from clients regarding this topic. Thank you so much for your support through this time and for the calls just to check in. I love and miss all of you so much!
This message is to discuss my plans for reopening once I receive approval to do so from the Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology. Please understand that, first and foremost, I will follow the guidance of my state and local leaders before we reopen our salon. As we do begin to reopen, please anticipate some changes in the way I provide my services. This list is subject to modification once I receive further guidance from the State Board and Governor’s team.
*Scheduling will be difficult. My ability to double book and begin another client’s services while one is processing will be diminished. Please be aware of this when booking several chemical services in one family.
* I will begin rescheduling in the approximate order in which I have had to cancel appointments, so if you missed your appointment due to this stay at home order, please know that I will reach out to you to reschedule as a priority.
* Please be timely to your appointments. I will be extending the amount of time it takes me to process through each individual client, which means more time at the salon in order to process the same number of guests. If you are late, this puts me further behind requiring later clients wait longer in their vehicles for their own service to begin.
* There will be no waiting area. You will need to wait for your turn to enter the salon from your vehicle. Text me upon arrival and I will text you when I am ready to begin your appointment.
* We will limit the number of guests inside the salon to 1 per stylist except in situations where a parent and child are both receiving service. No more than 10 people in the salon will be permitted at one time. Once your child is finished with his or her service, they will have to be picked up or supervised by another adult outside of the salon. If your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend is also receiving a service, they will need to wait in their vehicle for their turn inside the studio. I love seeing your family and friends, but as we reopen and educate ourselves to the new normal it is best to limit social interactions in such a confined space.
*In the days before your appointment, please be mindful of your health. If you have been sick, please let me know and I will reschedule with you. Temperature checks will be given at the door. You are required to wash your hands as soon as you enter the building. We are in this together and coming in to see me under the weather puts everyone else and me at risk. Please don’t do this.
*I will be wearing a mask and gloves to perform your services. I will switch out gloves between every client. We require that clients wear a mask upon entering the salon Please come prepared with your own as I will not have the capability to provide these to clients.
*There may be portions of your service that require you to remove or adjust your mask for me. Please be patient and understanding as I navigate learning how to provide top notch service in this new normal.
*After each client’s visit concludes, I will be wiping all surfaces down with Disinfectant Wipes. In order to minimize risk, I would ask that clients be mindful of touching products and tools. Your health and safety is our number 1 priority.
I love each and every one of you and am so excited that there is a light at the end of this tunnel. We will return to work. We will do it safely and with the health of our community at the front of our minds. I look forward to seeing you as soon as I am given approval to do so!
