May 18th, 2023 was the day members of the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology came and shut down our salon. It took half a year for the KBC to granted us our first ever administrative hearing to discuss the reason for closing down Tippi, and also taking away Q personal KY nail license. We struggled to find work since Q do not have license to practice in KY. One year later our lawyer David Borum help us file our first lawsuit serving the members of the KBC. We are taking them to the Kentucky Court and the Federal Court. We believe in the United States judicial system, and justice will be serve.
Today June 3, 2024, is the Governor Signing Party for SB 14. This new bill will help and create new opportunities for the cosmetology community in KY.

Inside KBC for the 1st time ever!
We had a hearing with the Kentucky board of cosmetology yesterday. It took me eight months to get this hearing. My salon has been shut down since. This is my first offense in 17 years of holding my license. The hearing officer is going to give us a recommendation in the middle of January. I’ll let you know what they say.

The case against us with our dog Kolby is dismissed. However, we can’t provide the life for Mochi and Kolby on just Juliane income. Currently my KY license is still frozen. I’m not able to work in KY to provide for my family, so we decide to have a family adopt our beloved boys. I’m also cannot work in other state because my Ky nail license is frozen so I can’t transfer my nail license to other state.
