I got an overwhelming amount of messages on the ‘81 4x4 so here’s the full photo album on it. It is very solid overall, has small bit of rust in cab corners, and no rust in rear fenders or underbody (see pics). It runs and drives just like the other square bodies I’ve had — Rough & Tough! It has the granny manual 4 speed setup and I will be happy to answer any reasonable questions that aren’t already discussed above or shown on the pictures.
The owner before me did lots of work to it as this was a dream truck of his (a short bed 4x4) but he was about 5’5 and 65 years old & his wife couldn’t get in this truck so he sold it to me and got a longbed 2wd so his wife could ride with him. The last picture in this album lists all the work he did to it.
