🚨 Why Detangling Matters: A Real-Life Curly Hair Cautionary Story 🚨
What you’re seeing in this photo is severely matted hair.
A high school student came into the salon with very curly hair that had been worn in a ponytail for weeks. Over time, the loose hair around the ponytail began to wrap, tangle, and eventually mat together. By the time she came in, the hair was rock solid—completely matted from the inside out.
Despite professional tools, products, and time, the matting was so severe that nothing could pe*****te the hair. The only option left was to carefully go underneath where hair was still loose and cut the matted portion off entirely.
This is the second time I’ve had to do this for someone.
