I just wanted to say thank you after my first two days back behind the chair. Honestly, I wasn’t planning on coming back this early while on maternity leave, but so many of you reached out needing a Father’s Day clean-up that I decided to open up a few days.
Not only am I grateful for your support of my small business, but I didn’t realize how much I needed a little time away and the chance to reconnect with all of you. It was so good catching up, hearing what’s new in your lives, and getting back into a routine I love.
A huge thank you as well to those who were flexible and let me move appointments around so I could attend the BLOS | COMMUNITY FOR WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS farewell lunch yesterday. Your understanding means so much.

A little over 7 weeks ago, I became a mom.
Today, I picked up my clippers again for my very first haircut since having Mia. Not back in the shop just yet, but welcoming a longtime client into my home felt like the perfect way to ease back in.

POV: This Mother’s Day hits different. Because this year… I became a Mom.

From pregnancy, labor, NICU visits, pumping schedules, healing, sleepless nights, and finally bringing baby Mia home, I now understand a whole new kind of love. The kind that changes you forever.

And somehow, this first Mother’s Day feels even more special because I get to spend it with my own Mom here beside me too. Watching her love Mia while taking care of me in this new chapter has been everything.

To all the moms, stepmoms, grandmas, NICU moms, moms-to-be, grieving moms, and women loving with a mother’s heart: Happy Mother’s Day.

And to my baby girl Mia… Thank you for making me your Mama.
