I remember when I first started beauty school, my instructor told my class to expect it to take yearsss to really become successful. She said it took her over 5 years to build a solid clientele. I also remember asking questions about services and constantly hearing, “you’ll learn as you go.”
That was never my reality. You should feel confident, skilled and ready after your class, not confused and figuring it out on your own.
Now, I do believe practice makes improvement! and if you’re not practicing, you’re not improving. But the key is practicing the right techniques with the right guidance!
Invest in classes with educators who actually care about how you feel when you leave. Invest in your skill. Take continuing education seriously so you can give your clients exactly what they’re paying for… plus more.
I built a solid clientele in less than a year in a brand new city for a reason. My focus is on quality, being consistent and good results. My clients get exactly what they book for.
