Our school opened its doors in 2012 as a private, non-profit organization founded in the belief that Montessori education should be accessible to all children and their families, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic status, geographic location, or even previous educational experiences. Since opening in 2012 with just two classrooms, we have grown and expanded to not only include the private, non-profit portion of our school, which now serves as a child care center; but have also opened our doors as a public charter school. In 2018, we made history by becoming the FIRST public AMI Montessori school in Madison! To this day, IMA(P) remains the only publicly funded Montessori school in Madison.

In 2021, we made history yet again by gaining World School Status from the International Baccalaureate Organization for our 11th and 12th grade levels. This recognition status allows for our high school students to earn college credits and allow their high school diploma to be internationally recognized. To this day, IMA(P) remains the only publicly funded IB World School in Madison.

Our school continues to grow and expand, supporting learners and their families from the time they begin their educational journeys in infancy, through the years of adulthood. Even though that wasn’t how I planned on booking a commercial in 2024, I looked amazing & Kamala Harris is going to be the next President if we can all show up and do our part. Please get involved today 🫶 I’m gonna tell a quick story about why I’m so passionate about this. I found out I had HIV at a Planned Parenthood, and my access to that care changed my life trajectory. I would not have had access to testing or treatment anywhere else. STI testing helps not only individuals but whole communities with helping to lower the spread of diseases. They also do cancer screenings, pre natal care, pregnancy care, and also abortions. Whatever your personal opinion on abortion is, Roe v Wade said that abortion is a constitutional right because we are entitled to liberty & privacy for our bodily autonomy. Interestingly, Roe was based on the 14th amendment which is about citizens access to privacy from the government. It’s a HUGE deal that the Supreme Court with Donald Trump & Republican appointed judges said said, NO BITCH, you do not get privacy over your body and medical choices! You don’t have the right to autonomy and privacy, the state can intercede however it would like. Women are suffering debilitating health outcomes without access to abortion healthcare. Trump plans on gutting planned parenthood funding fully and its not only abortion. Its cancer screenings for low income people. Its STI testing for people who don’t have insurance or a doctor. Its a pap-smear or breast exam for young women who don’t have access in any other way. The Supreme Court is at stake. Planned Parenthood is at stake. Thats just two of the many reasons why I’m passionate about voting. So make fun of me in an ad, I’m focused & so is the country.
