October is both Breast Cancer Awareness Month AND Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The is dedicated to eliminating cancers affecting women and ending domestic violence.

🌸The Mary Kay Foundation has donated over $50 million to domestic violence shelters since 2000.

The epidemics of cancer and domestic violence run rampant in our world today, yet their impact does not feel nearly as great until they personally affect you.. this season of my life has brought with it a stage IV cancer diagnosis for my father. And with the diagnosis I've found myself contemplating the meaning of life, my own mortality, and how each of us only has so much time on this earth. However I am also grateful to know that I work with a company that truly cares about people in both its words and actions having donated millions in support of such important causes.

And so, for the remainder of the month I will be donating $1 per item sold to the Mary Kay Foundation in support of their work with these causes.
