“When can I wash my hair?!”
SHORT ANSWER: 2 days 🙅🏼♀️🙅🏽♀️
When you color your hair (especially blondes or going lighter) your cuticle opens allowing the color to pe*****te. After I color your hair I use a low PH conditioner to help close that cuticle but it remains open for...🥁🥁🥁
TWO WEEKS!
So don't wash your hair for at least 🕑🕝🕧 48 hours right after and then as little as possible for the next two weeks. This will help your color stay longer.
Fewer shampoos = the longer your color stays.

Wait... there's a "right" way to prepare for my appointment??⠀

Yeah, sis - gone are the days of "dirty hair colors better". That was when hair color and lightener was harsh af and honestly appreciated a little oil barrier on your scalp and hair 🥴⠀

The products I use are ultra conditioning and minimally damaging (when used correctly 😉 ) and if your hair is | g r o s s | your blonde won't lighten properly and grays won't be fully covered. ⠀

Here's what you can do to ensure the best results!⠀
⠀
✨ Your hair should be clean and dry when you arrive at your appointment. In most cases 1-2 days since washing is ok - unless you have super oily hair naturally. In which case, let's chat about how we can remedy that, too. ⠀

✨ No product build up. Yes, this means dry shampoo. It can cause a barrier that prohibits color to work effectively.⠀
⠀
✨ Please no crazy buns or ponytails. I do most cutting dry before I color and wild ass hair can make this challenging. ⠀

I’ve been getting a lot of questions around the hand tied extensions (I mean how could there not be- look at them) so I thought I’d answer some FAQ’s.⠀

💰 How much are they?⠀
⠀
You’re not going to like this answer because there is no one answer for this. We won’t know until you fill out a consultation form! 📅 How long do they last?⠀

The hair itself lasts an average of 6-9 months. I have seen wefts last up to a year with immaculate care, but I’ve also seen them a lil busted around 6 months. It totally depends on how you care for them! ⠀

💁🏼♀️Whats the maintenance?⠀
⠀
Every 6-8 weeks you can expect to be with me. One row maintenance starts at $125 and takes about 30min-1hr; 2 rows starts at $200 and takes about an 1-1.5hrs. ⠀

❓How do you put them in?⠀
⠀
I put a row of beads across the circumference of your head. I then place the wefts of hair on the row of beads and then I sew 🧵 the hair onto the beads. ⠀

🤷🏻♀️Can I feel them?⠀

At first, yes - it'll feel like you're wearing a headband. Im putting a foreign object in your head lol. But with time they will start to settle and sometimes you won’t even remember that you have them! Until you look in the mirror and see the hair of a goddess ✨

Let's debunk my 3 favorite myths about balayage:
1. Balayage doesn't look good on thin, short hair.
WRONG wrong wrong. Balayage can totally level up your look regardless of your hair density or length. Dimension can make thin hair look thicker, and lived in color looks good on all lengths.
2. Balayage has no maintenance.
Low maintenance? Yes. Zero maintenance? No. Balayage is the lowest maintenance hair color you could possibly do, but getting a gloss refresh every 8 weeks is the best way to maintain your color and keep it from looking brassy or dull.
3. There's only one right way to balayage.
While balayage is technically a technique, a lot of people now refer to it as a look. There are multiple ways to achieve a balayaged look, none of which are wrong! It all just depends on what you're looking to achieve.
