Azelaic Acid is available in multiple forms such as gel, foam, and cream. To get good results apply it daily around the same time though following the directions mentioned as prescribed and reading all the medication guidelines.

It is not to be taken by mouth instead to be used topically only on the skin.
Before using the solution wash the hands thoroughly.
Before every use shake the gel/foam/solution well.
Before applying it topically clean the face with a mild soap or a soap-free cleansing lotion and pat dry with a soft towel and apply as directed.
Do not apply over sunburned, windburned, chapped, dried, or irritated skin.
Avoid getting any of the medication in the eyes, nose, or mouth still if it does wash it thoroughly. Call the doctor if the irritation persists.
Do not apply in large amounts or more often as it won’t clear it faster but chances of getting side-effects may increase.
Improvement is noticed within 4 weeks however it may take a longer time for the full effects of the medications. Call the doctor if the symptoms do not improve after 12 weeks.
Inform the doctor if you face excessive burning, dryness, or irritating skin.
