I always like to express to my clients that low lighting doesn’t always mean ‘darker’, low lighting can actually give the appearance of an even brighter look. I say it time and time again, our blonde is only as bright as what it contrasts against. Using the appropriate tones can also help blend blondes and give a more lived in look. Food for thought🤍

Your consult is the MOST important part of your experience with me. You will hear me ask the same question 3 different ways. This helps me understand what you are truly looking to achieve.

Have you ever gone somewhere and shown a photo and the stylists says “yup we can do that!” And then you end up walking away with something you didn’t expect or want? The line of perception is very thin between client and stylist, what we, as the professional, see and what the client see’s can be interpreted a hundred different ways.

That is why when clients show an inspiration photo (or 5) I always like to ask “what do you like about this photo?” This is the first of many questions…

Be prepared to answers things such as:

- Do you want a bold face frame or a softer blend?
- when you pull your hair back do you like to see all light or do you prefer dimension?
- do you want a lived in look or something that is light all the way through your crown?
- For the tone of your blonde are we looking for something cool? Keep in mind cool tones don’t appear as bright.
- if you want something bright but not warm we can do a neutral tone that will cut the brass but also keep your bright. Do you like that?
- how long would you like to go between appointments?

…. And the list goes on.

When one of your besties wants something “totally different, not to light, but light enough to see the difference, but also wants to keep there depth, but wants to see a mind blowing change but nothing drastic”…here ya go…
