“Why can’t I have caffeine before my brow appointment?”

This is one of most frequently asked question. Here’s why👇🏼

Caffeine is a blood thinner. The consumption of caffeine before your permanent makeup brow appointment can result in excessive bleeding which can affect color retention and may cause excessive patchiness when brows are healed.

Please refrain from consuming caffeine (coffee, black tea, redbull, Lotus drinks, pre-workout/energy drinks etc) 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Your cooperation and understanding will help protect your investment ✨ I always send out a reminder a day before your appointment so that you can remember the caffeine rule, there’s definitely a reason for it and as a caffeine fiend myself i know how hard it is to stay away from it especially when being told that you can’t have it 😅🤣 but it’s all for good reason!

✨Clean & Precise Brow Mapping is the foundation for a beautiful set of ombré powder brows ✨

My goal when it comes to brow mapping is to create a shape that enhances client’s natural brows; a shape that will compliment what you have and add what you need.

My preferred method of brow mapping is a mixture of freehand and string (as demonstrated on top picture) Another alternative method that I will occasionally use is with a sticker ruler (as shown on bottom photo). I also prefer to map clients sitting up and will lay them down and always sitting up to double check again before we begin the shading portion of treatment.

It is important to note that when it comes to brow mapping, there is not one size fits all; every shape is tailored uniquely to you. With that being said, the mapping process can take anywhere from 20 minutes up to 45 minutes to complete, varies as we all have different starting points. Keep in mind that the mapping serves as a guideline which means the final product will be slightly condensed and slightly thinner than what the mapping appears to be.

What you need to know about Ombre Powder Brows ✨
Ombré Powder Brow is a soft, powdery looking brow which give a natural gradient affect where the head of the brow is lighter, and gets darker towards the end of the brow.

Powder brows is a form of cosmetic tattooing and the pigment will fade over time. Annual touch-ups are recommended to keep them looking perfect. There is no guarantee in how long the results will last, as each person has different skin and lifestyle activities that will affect fading. Frequency of touch-ups depends on a number of factors, including & skin type, pigment selection, lifestyle (sun exposure) , iron deficiency (your body absorbs iron-oxide as a supplement), chemical peels, etc. This service doesn’t affect hair growth, your hair will still
grow as normal and you can remove it by traditional methods (waxing, threading etc..)

After you have healed, wear sunscreen with zinc/titanium on your brows once they are healed year round. Reapply sunscreen every 80 mins as it looses efficacy.

✨ What a year it’s been! ✨ 2023 was the year of bouncing back and growing 🥂
Here’s a little recap of each month’s highlights from this incredible year (a mix of both personal and business):

🌟 January- My baby girl Reign turned one! 🐶 we celebrated with a homemade cake and a mini shoot. And website got a new upgrade and look!
🌟 February- Em Brow Artistry relocated to a new private studio in Melbourne!
🌟 March- I added two more tiny tattoos to my own collection!
🌟 April- I made a big girl purchase! College car was ran to the ground so I bought a new SUV- my beautiful Audi! And also completed my 6th certification, an awesome training with in Miami.
🌟 May- I stepped outside my comfort zone and finally did my first ever branding photoshoot with the amazingly talented It was such an empowering shoot!
🌟 June- Learned the art of fine line tattoos from the incredible
🌟 July- Introduced fine line tattoos as a new service here at Em Brow Artistry!
🌟 August- Reign had a major surgery. She got spayed. Not really a highlight because we were so scared lol when she came out of anesthesia but it’s such a memorable time of the year for us so kinda a “highlight”😅
🌟 September- I did my second branding marathon photoshoot again with the incredible
🌟 October- We moved into a new house with a spacious fenced-in back yard for our fur babies. 🐶🐈
🌟 November- Wrapped up all the brow trainings for the year! Thank you to all of my students who have chosen me as their lifetime mentor 🙏🏽
🌟 December- We adopted a new puppy. Welcome to our family, Enzo! And also the holidays with my family in Washington state. Creating a better work life balance was one of my goals this year so the quality time with family was MUCH NEEDED 💕

To my dear clients, I know this year hasn’t been easy for a lot of us for various reasons, but know that the stories you shared has a special place in my heart and I will be sending you all my love and strength in this upcoming new year!
