You may not need a whole new routine, just the right seasonal adjustments. As a Licensed Esthetician, I can help you adapt your skincare regimen to stay hydrated, protected, and glowing through every breeze and temperature shift.

Here are a few of the most common skincare concerns I see during our "Florida Winter"

1. Changes in Humidity = Skin Dehydration
· The drop in humidity pulls moisture from the skin, leading to dehydration. This is compounded by constant transitions between dry AC/heating, the outdoor cool/windy air and the still-present sun.

2. Compromised Skin Barrier
· The combination of dehydration, wind, and sudden temperature changes weakens the skin's protective lipid barrier. This makes skin more reactive and sensitive.

3. Confusion Over Oil Production
· The skin may overcompensate for dehydration by producing more oil, leading clients to mistakenly use harsh, drying products meant for oily skin, which worsens the problem.

4. Neglected Sun Protection
· With cooler air, clients perceive less sun intensity and often skip or reduce SPF use. However, Florida's UV index remains moderate to high all winter.

5. Lip & Eye Area Sensitivity
· These areas have thinner skin and fewer oil glands, making them the first to show signs of dehydration and barrier damage.

6. Persistent but Altered Breakouts
· Breakouts can continue or even worsen due to a combination of factors: dehydration causing congestion, holiday diet changes, and using harsh/stripping products without proper guidance.

1. What is a lash lift?

A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls your natural lashes from the root, giving them a lifted, lengthened appearance without needing a lash curler or extensions.

2. What is a lash tint?

A tint darkens your natural lashes using a safe, semi-permanent dye. This makes them look fuller and more defined, especially for clients with lighter lashes.

3. How long does a lash lift and tint last?

Typically 6–8 weeks, depending on your lash growth cycle, aftercare, and natural lash health.

4. Is a lash lift safe for my natural lashes?

When performed by a trained professional using high-quality products, absolutely. The solution is designed to be gentle and formulated for the delicate eye area. Conditioner for lashes post-care will be provided.

5. Can I wear mascara with a lash lift?

Yes, once the first 24 hours have passed. Avoid waterproof mascara, as it can weaken the lift over time.

6. How should I prepare for my appointment?
• Arrive with clean, makeup-free lashes
• Avoid oil-based products around your eyes for 24 hours before
• Remove contacts if you wear them (optional but recommended)

7. What should I avoid after my lash lift?

For the first 24 hours, avoid:
• Water, steam, sweating, and saunas
• Crying (excess moisture can weaken the lift)
• Eye makeup
• Sleeping on your face
• Oils or heavy skincare around the eyes

After 24 hours, you can resume normal routines.

8. Does it hurt?

Not at all. Most clients find the experience relaxing and even nap during the treatment.

9. How long does the service take?

About 45–60 minutes, depending on your natural lashes.

10. How often can I get a lash lift?

Every 6–8 weeks, aligned with your natural lash cycle. Doing it more frequently can lead to overprocessing.

11. What results can I expect?

Your natural lashes will look:
