Scar tissue is deeper than what you see on the surface. The tensile strength of fascia is 2000 lbs per square inch. Stop fighting and start working with a John Barnes trained Myofascial Release Therapist.
Healing is a journey not an event
And it begins with Myofascial Release
01/02/2026
True healing isn’t instant. It unfolds when the body feels safe enough to soften.
Through gentle, sustained Myofascial Release, the nervous system settles, the fascia begins to open, and the body remembers how to release what it’s been holding.
Slow is not a setback.
It’s how lasting change begins.
Don’t Limit Yourself
Myofascial Release helps your body let go of pain and stress with immediate results.

As the year comes to a close, the body often asks for more softness, not more effort.
Myofascial Release creates space, ease, and a calmer foundation for the year ahead, one gentle shift at a time.
If your body is ready to release what it’s been holding, this is a beautiful place to begin.

“Carolyn is a kind and compassionate therapist who can work out the kinks without hurting your body, and knows where they originate better than even you do.”
This is what expert-level Myofascial Release looks like:
- listening before forcing,
- understanding before pushing,
- and creating change without overwhelming the nervous system.
If you’re looking for gentle, precise care that actually addresses the source, not just the symptoms, Myofascial Release may be the missing piece.

The holidays often bring extra tension, and the fascia feels it first.
Gentle movement, slower breathing, and mindful pauses help the body shift away from stress and into a state where healing is possible.
A softer season begins within.

FROM John F Barnes MFR Headquarters 💔 :
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved leader, teacher, mentor and friend, John F. Barnes, PT.
John will be missed more than words can say. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor and deep love and connection he felt for all of us is a rare and special gift, which will be felt in our hearts forever.
As we reflect upon the impact John has had on each of us, we are reminded of what he brought to this world and what a better place it is because of him. We are forever grateful for the positive influence that John has had, not only on our lives, but on the lives of countless patients and MFR therapists throughout the world.
John’s life’s mission was to spread the awareness of the John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach®.
Moving forward, we are dedicated to carrying out John’s mission through our Myofascial Release Treatment Centers & Seminars.
This has become John's favorite artist, and he always commented on the power and passion in his voice. Please allow yourselves to get quiet, reflect, visualize and feel deeply as you listen to this song❤️

Soft tools create safety, the foundation of healing.
From inflatable balls to the cranial cradle, these tools offer gentle, sustained resistance that allows the body to shift into the parasympathetic “rest and digest” state.
Hard tools often ask the body to endure.
Soft tools invite the nervous system to feel safe enough to soften, melt, and release.
This is where true change begins, not through force, but through awareness and ease.

Myofascial symptoms often intensify when the fascia is under constant tension, from chronic stress, posture patterns, limited movement, or old injuries.
The good news: with the right gentle approach, these patterns can begin to unwind, creating more space, comfort, and ease in the body.
If your pain keeps returning, it may be time to look beyond the symptom and address the restriction beneath it.
Listen to your body, and consider professional myofascial care.

One of the most common surprises in Myofascial Release is referred pain.
Fascial tension can send discomfort to a completely different area, making whole-body, hands-on assessment essential.
Understanding where pain truly begins creates space for real, lasting change.
If you’re curious whether referred pain may be affecting you, learn more or schedule a session to explore it further.
