Stylist for over 6 years and work in a fairly high-end salon but not bougie. It seems like stylists are dressing in a more casual sportswear, borderline unprofessional. Almost like workout clothes, sometimes female stylists barely have any make-up on which I feel makes them seem less put together? Personal opinion is if we want to be paid or treated professionally, we have to look and play the part? If you look through Instagram you will even see a lot of stylists doing clients that look like they haven't even done their hair. I don't get it. I take pride in how I look, I know it sounds strange but I even feel like I do a better job when I'm "put together." How do other stylists feel about this? Please no name and no salon name thanks.
