I'd like to congratulate my son and newest team member at Sal's Barber Shop Anthony Failla for graduating from Merritt Island High School, he chose to complete his senior year of high school while also attending Rockledge Barber Institute on his own. He has made me very proud over the years (even though we had a couple of rough ones, lol) and am excited to welcome him to the shop. Unfortunately he will be out for 6 more weeks or so due to a dirt bike mishap when he broke his pinky finger, but I and the staff at Sal's look forward to him joining us soon. I have been going back and forth in my brain on what I was going to do, I have so many great loyal customers still working because they are deemed essential, still risking their lives doing what they have to do every day, while I am home telling people that I chose to close the shop for valid safety concerns but was not shut down yet by the state. I am setting up a appointment system for the 1st time at Sal's Barber Shop so that I personally can take care of my loyal clients that absolutely need to have a haircut, I feel a tremendous responsibility to these clients especially the ones that followed me to my shop and helped me get on my feet when I was getting started. Many of my clients are active duty, police, doctors, nurses and firefighters and they are still out there and I feel I should also be available for these people too. I apologize if you do not agree with my decision but it is the one I am making at the moment. If you need to get a haircut and you can no longer wait go to this link and follow the instructions. I will have a sanitizing station at the door, I will be wearing a mask and gloves during the cut, I ask that the customer bring a mask with them for during the cut if possible. And PLEASE if you are feeling under the weather AT ALL do not make an appointment PLEASE! I will taking full discretion on this matter, even if you think it's just allergies stay home just in case, for your safety and the safety of others. Thank you and hopefully this will be over soon!
