I am accepting new clients that are Due through November. Do you know what a doula is? Do you know what we do? I am always happy to answer any questions. Someone once said to me a doula is the best friend you never knew you needed. Let’s become friends this year.

Hi and congratulations on your new addition. I began my doula career after many years of supporting only family and friends. After attending a birth in October 2018, I knew that I was once again on the right path. Throughout my life I have had a passion for helping others. I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2013, with my own practice in Melbourne. I believe all women have the right to be supported and loved during all steps of life, especially during the beginning of a new life. As your doula I will help you gather knowledge and encourage you. I will remind you of your goals. No one knows you better than you. I will trust that you will make the best choice for you and your baby. You have the power of choice and I will support that choice no matter my own opinions and choices may be. Each birth is different and I believe that you are powerful and capable. I will help you be in charge of your own experience. I will support you in your moments of vulnerability and strength. I will listen with Hi and congratulations on your new addition. Oxytocin is a hormone that acts on organs in the body (including the breast and uterus) and as a chemical messenger in the brain, controlling key aspects of the reproductive system, including childbirth, lactation, human behavior and or***ms.

We use it to give birth!

It’s our natural form of pitocin, which is what is regularly given in hospitals to bring on and increase contractions.

Unlike pitocin, Oxytocin has an intricate dance between your body and baby to give birth.
➳
We can increase the release of Oxytocin naturally during labor just by kissing or holding someone we love.
➳
It can decrease pain for the birther as well.
➳
Oxytocin bonds us.
