I know people look at me and think that I have put up these walls around me, and it's true. But I have long stopped wondering if that's even a bad thing. After all, they only see what I allow them to see. No one knows how hard it is to get up in the morning knowing you're about to give up on another dream because things just aren't working out, no one hears the muffled cries through the pillow in the middle of the night when the thoughts drown you.

I can cope with the world. I'm a fighter, and I know I can put on a straight face in front of my people despite everything falling apart. But it's just comforting to know that when I'm by myself, I can allow sadness to catch up. To feel. It reminds me that the world hasn't numbed me down yet. Somehow, it makes the beautiful things all the more worth looking forward to.🥹❤️

The world (society) has taught us to fear aging. Often you hear negativity for people 40+. I walk by faith, not by sight or statistics. I’d argue that aging has been an awesome process of growth and maturity, and I’ve learned it’s never too late to reset or enjoy life. I don’t care what man says, if you’re believing for marriage, stand. Want a baby? Stand on that. Want to go back to school? Do it! Life isn’t over because you turned 40. I know so many who are above that and living their best life. Don’t y’all let the devil trick you. It’s just getting real real GOODT! The people calling you old will (hopefully) get there soon enough. I’m enjoying this ride. Ain’t no devil in hell gone trick me out of my promises. Stand on that!
