Hi, I’m LaFayna!
For 35 years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of helping people feel beautiful, empowered, and confident from the inside out. What began as a career quickly became a lifelong passion — one rooted in creativity, connection, and transformation.

My true obsession behind the chair is the science and artistry of hair color. I specialize in intricate color formulation and seamless color blending, carefully creating tones that are balanced, dimensional, rich, and completely customized to each individual client.

After decades of transforming hair and building relationships in the salon, my mission is growing in an exciting new direction. I am honored to be stepping into my role as an upcoming cosmetology educator, where I’ll have the opportunity to share thirty-five years of technical knowledge, industry insight, business wisdom, and real-world experience with the future generation of beauty professionals.

For me, hair has never been just a job — it’s a calling, an art form, and a passion I’ve carried throughout my life.
Whether I’m welcoming you into my chair or into my classroom, I can’t wait to share that passion, inspire confidence, and create something beautiful together.

Meet Teddy 🐾

Our seven-year-old maltipoo and the unofficial mascot of Studio 901 🤍

If you’ve ever been in the salon, chances are Teddy has either:
• greeted you at the door
• curled up beside your chair
• supervised your appointment
• or convinced you to give him attention before your stylist 😂

He’s been part of the Studio 901 family for years and honestly thinks the salon was built for him. Teddy loves people, naps in the sunlight, treats from clients, and being involved in everyone’s business.

So if you see a little fluffy face wandering around the salon… don’t worry, he runs the place. 🐶✨

I’m Melissa. For over 30 years, including the last five at Studio 901, it has been my passion to make old friends and new acquaintances look stunning, dazzling, and beautiful with modern styles, classic cuts, dimensional color, and perms. Their satisfaction continues to be one of the great blessings of my life.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, decorating, and hosting the people I love. I am also blessed to write, record, and sing contemporary Christian and patriotic music with my husband, Bill.

I specialize in color corrections and all-over transformations—there’s nothing better than helping someone feel like their best self.

I’m behind the chair part-time, and when I’m not in the salon, you’ll find me at home with my two girls.

My husband and I also just celebrated 10 years of marriage, which has been such a special milestone for us!
