With the salons opening back up around the country, we are soon to follow. We don’t have a definite date yet, but I am preparing for when we do. ❤️ I am refreshing my training on Barbicide, our disinfectant that we use in the salon, as well as Barbicide’s Covid-19 training and precautions to use in the salon. When we come back, I want you to feel comfortable and safe getting your hair done. As well as, ensuring the extra measures of disinfecting the salon and tools for Covid-19 standards are taken. I miss you all, and I can’t wait to see you again! 🥰🙌 May our roots shine bright and proud!

Before and *ALMOST* after of my front walkway. ❤️🙌 How are you all doing during this quarantine? Any projects you’ve taken on/finally finished? This is my second project so far!! The last thing I need to do is plant pretty flowers to brighten up my house 🥰 As much as I’m enjoying this “time off” I definitely miss doing hair! Here’s to hoping this quarantine is almost over 🥳👏 cheers to our roots too! 😂 🥂 I want to hear from you! I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and most of all SANE! ❤️💪

Quarantine is finally getting to me. Here’s how it’s gone:
Week 1 💢 Get ALL THE PROJECTS finished. Get a lot of housework done! Relax! Enjoy the time off! Spend time with my baby 💜🥰
Week 2 💢 I’m now braiding my daughters BabyAlive’s hair. Thinking about pulling out a mannequin. Total makeover.

As some of you know already, Ulta has taken the initiative to close down through the 31st. This includes The Salon. As of right now, appointments will continue April 1st. I am beyond blessed to work for a company that cares for its employees and their families as much as Ulta does. As much as it saddens me that I won’t be able to do hair for a couple weeks, I know it’s in everyone’s best interest. If you have any questions during this period, you can direct message me here.

On a more humorous note, PLEASE do not try to cut/color/anything by yourself. I understand if you need to see another stylist that is still open during this time. But I promise come April 1st, I will do my best to get everyone back in for their retouches and cuts as quick as I can. Unfortunately, hair doesn’t trump health. ❤️ I am going to spend this next two weeks with my daughter, my family, my animals (I have 6!!), and myself. I am going to use this two week “vacation” to do some serious self-care and bonding.

I know I’ve stressed in the past about box color and lifting through it. Here lately I feel like I’ve been doing A TON of these services where we want to lift box color to become lighter and brighter. So I’m going to stress this once again—

Box color does not lift well especially if you’ve been using it all your life. If you notice in this “After” picture, her highlights change color the further down we go in the hair. My lovely guest today has used box color all her life. So her ends have years and years and years of box color on them. She is not a bright blonde right now, and she knew going into this that it would be a process. (So thankful for that!!!) Ladies and gentlemen... ITS A PROCESS. Several sessions. Several expensive sessions. Think about if you’ve ever thought about going blonde before you pick up that hair dye from Walmart or Sally’s. Thank you for coming to my ted talk. ❤️😘 @ Ulta Beauty

This was only step 1 to a few sessions of going blonde! My guest knew the realistic factors of going blonde, and was happy with a caramel tone for now. She’s ecstatic we were able to get a level lighter than caramel, and we kept her hairs integrity intact! (very important when going blonde)
