This post may have been inspired by my own need to get to the bottom of why I noticed my own breakouts around my own Botox appointments. But this conversation has come up with multiple clients over the years. So let’s talk about it!

Pimple patches aren’t always harmless 😖

I accidentally occluded a strong retinoid under a patch and created what was essentially a mini chemical burn. When you trap potent actives like retinoids or acids under an occlusive patch, pe*******on can dramatically increase… and so can irritation, barrier damage, and prolonged redness.
