I cannot tell you how often I scroll through my feed and find skincare “tips” or “advice” that is completely incorrect.

As we all know, influencers make money off of selling products to us. PLEASE do not trust anyone on social media who’s just trying to make money off of you. I promise you, that new “cute” and “trendy” product is not going to fix your skin.

Find an esthetician you trust and ask them before trusting anything you see on your FYP! 🫶🏼

I already posted a little throwback post on my story, but I felt like this milestone deserved its own moment.

I cannot believe it has been 4 full years since completing my 600 hours of esthetics school. Looking back, I am so beyond happy I made the choice to pursue a career as an esthetician. I truly couldn’t imagine my life any other way. I get to do what I am passionate about every day. I love helping others achieve the skin of their dreams. I’m so grateful for the knowledge I have gained and the relationships I have made through working in this industry.

I’ve had so many clients coming to me complaining about their skin being super oily, so they don’t use super moisturizing products. If this sounds like you, you could be making your oil production worse!

The skin needs natural oils. When you’re constantly stripping your skin of those oils and not giving it the proper moisture back, it will OVERPRODUCE oil to make up for it.

TRUST ME, this happened to me for years. My skin is naturally very oily so I used to use drying “oil control” products and my skin only became more oily.

All skin INCLUDING oily skin types need good moisturization and non-stripping products to balance out the oil production.
