Always walking around with an open coffee cup, IYKYK
Blinked my eyes and it’s almost April. Life feels so rich, so deep, so so precious these days. Not wasting a second.
A little reminder that salon life isn’t only what happens behind the chair.
Some days it’s spreadsheets, supply runs, late-night ideas, fixing the playlist, reorganizing shelves, answering emails, planning the next season, and dreaming about what this place could become.
The hair might be what everyone sees… but the work behind it is what keeps the doors open and the vision moving forward.
Even on the “day off.”
Small business life — equal parts beauty, logistics, and a little bit of chaos. And honestly? I wouldn’t trade it.

When this becomes that 🙌🏻
The bowl is where the magic really happens—and honestly, it’s my favorite part of the process. This is where all the planning, placement, and intention finally come together.
It’s the moment the color starts to make sense, the tones settle in, and the vision comes to life. The details matter here, and this step is what takes hair from “good” to exactly right.
High-lift color is hands down one of the best options when you want that soft, sun-kissed brightness without compromising the health of your hair. It lifts and tones in a single step, protects your natural depth, and keeps your strands feeling strong instead of stressed.
Why it’s a favorite:
• Gives beautiful, controlled lift without bleach (what, no toning to remove brass!?)
• Keeps your hair’s integrity intact (hi, shiny + soft 👋🏼)
• Grows out seamlessly with less maintenance
• Perfect for natural brunettes wanting brighter pieces that still feel dimensional
If you’ve been craving a little extra glow this season, high-lift truly is the sweet spot between healthy + bright. Let’s build something beautiful around your natural color.

The kind of brunette that whispers ‘I woke up like this’… even though we both know a pro put in the work 😉✨

I took a month off of social media. Not to prove a point, not because I had a plan… but because I knew I needed it. And here’s what I learned in the quiet:
At first, silence felt strange—like something was missing. But the longer I sat in it, the more I realized it was actually full. Full of clarity. Full of thoughts I hadn’t slowed down enough to hear. Full of space to breathe.
Instead of thinking, “Should I share this?” I just lived it. I laughed with my kids without reaching for my phone. I had conversations with friends where my mind wasn’t half-scrolling. And in the salon, I felt the freedom to simply be with people, not document it.
I’ve always believed inspiration comes from the things around us—but I was reminded it also comes from stillness. From boredom. From margin. The best ideas for my life and Wildwood didn’t show up when I was online—they came when I finally let my mind rest.
Social media is an amazing tool, especially for business, but it’s not the heartbeat of what I do. Stepping away reminded me that the best growth happens offline—in conversations, in the chair, in the community we’re building here.
