A lil year in review…

I am always so grateful for the beautiful souls I get to encounter in my career. Thank you to those that keep my books filled consistently. Thank you for those that gave me a try, even if you didn’t stay. Thank you for referring me to your friends, family and even strangers. Thank you for sharing your lives with me. Thank you to for showing me grace and kindness through some of the most difficult days of my life this year.

What can happen to hair when you neglect regular trims?? This is a perfect example. This person does not have any hair color, so we can rule that out. She is in the process of growing out her hair. This doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be coming in for regular maintenance. Quite the opposite! When you wait too long in between haircuts, split ends will find their way up those strands. Whether it’s from heat, tight ponytails, or just normal wear and tear, those split ends will travel and start to cause breakage wherever it feels like. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on how often you should be maintaining your haircuts (even the smallest amounts). I usually say every 3 months is a good rule of thumb. I don’t recommend going much longer than that. If you really want to keep up with it and see the best hair growth, come in every 6 weeks for a “dusting.” Clean up those ends and get the most beautiful and healthy hair of your life! #voulalabuehairstylist #metairiehairstylist #neworleanshairstylist #hairstylist #haircut #haircutting
