Busy doesn’t have to mean disconnected.
Before flights, meetings, presentations, or long days… give your nervous system one minute to catch up with your body.
This is called coherent breathing — slow, controlled breathing that helps regulate the nervous system, increase oxygen flow, and bring your body back into balance before the chaos of the day begins.
Nothing dramatic.
No perfect setup.
Just a busy professional in a hotel room, watching the city wake up… and choosing not to rush her nervous system.
One minute. One breath at a time.
.
This year brought me across five countries, countless cities, and into rooms filled with some of the brightest minds in medicine. I watched my son get married, celebrated life with my children and my parents, stepped into a new chapter professionally, and said yes to more adventure, more growth, and more life.
I stood in stadiums singing Metallica in two different countries, wandered through Greece and Italy with a full heart, Sweden and Denmark full of adventure, built deeper friendships, created new memories, and learned that manifestation is real when you finally begin living in alignment with who you truly are.
I’ve laughed harder, loved deeper, traveled farther, and dreamed bigger than ever before.
Grateful for every lesson, every plane ticket, every late-night conversation, every challenge that refined me, and every person who has walked beside me in this beautiful life.
Here’s to the next trip around the sun. ✨
Most high performers think they need more time to feel better.
Usually, they just need to remember how to breathe intentionally.
Today’s reset happened in my car.
Rain falling. No music. No distractions. Just box breathing.
This is what nervous system regulation actually looks like in real life.
Not perfection.
Not silence for an hour.
Not escaping your life.
Just small moments of awareness woven into a busy day.
Try this today:
• Inhale for 4
• Hold for 4
• Exhale for 4
• Hold for 4
Repeat for 2–5 minutes.
Try it:
* before work
* after a stressful meeting
* in the school pickup line
* before walking into your house
* sitting in the parking garage
* before surgery, presentations, or difficult conversations
Your body responds faster than you think.
The breath is always available.
The question is whether you remember to use it.
I used to think success meant pushing harder.
More hustle. More urgency. More doing.
Now I understand something deeper:
Your nervous system is the foundation of your performance.
When it’s dysregulated, even success feels heavy.
When it’s regulated, clarity returns. Energy returns. Confidence returns.
So before the meetings… before the flights… before the deadlines…
I reset.
Sunlight. Hydration. Breath. Stillness. Vision. Gratitude.
This is how high performers protect themselves from burnout.
Not by escaping life—
By learning how to lead themselves through it.

Most high performers don’t realize this…
It’s not the flight.
It’s your nervous system.
When you lengthen your exhale, you signal safety to your body.
That’s when everything starts to regulate.
I use this on flights, before meetings, and after long days.
Simple. Controlled. Effective.

You don’t need a perfect routine.
You need a regulated system that travels with you.
Most high performers don’t burn out because they’re weak…
They burn out because they’ve trained themselves to override everything—
sleep, stress, emotion, recovery.
I’ve been that person.
Push through. Perform. Deliver. Repeat.
Until your body starts collecting the bill.
Now? I focus on progress over perfection.
→ movement (even if it’s 10 minutes)
→ breath (even if it’s simple)
→ fresh air
→ journaling + vision
→ consistency over intensity
This is how you stay sharp without burning out.
I work with high performers to navigate burnout through nervous system regulation—
in a way that actually fits your life.

There’s a version of burnout no one talks about.
It’s not dramatic.
It’s not loud.
It’s quiet.
It’s the moment you sit down…
and realize you feel completely off.
But instead of addressing it…
you override it.
You push through.
You perform.
You disconnect even more.
This is where high performers lose themselves.
Not in failure—
but in chronic self-abandonment.
Here’s the shift:
👉 You don’t need to do more in these moments
👉 You need to interrupt the pattern
Pause.
Orient.
Return to your body.
That’s how you reset in real time.
This is the work.
I help high performers navigate burnout through nervous system regulation.

Burnout doesn’t always look like collapse.
For high performers, it often looks like this:
• You’re exhausted but still showing up
• Your brain won’t turn off at night
• Your patience is getting shorter
• You feel pressure even when nothing is wrong
That’s your nervous system staying in performance mode for too long.
One way to begin calming it is through bilateral stimulation.
Alternating left-right tapping helps the brain process stress and signals safety to the nervous system. It’s a technique often used in trauma therapy and nervous system regulation.
Even small resets like this can begin to bring your system back into balance.
If this resonates with you, comment RESET and I’ll share more ways to retrain your nervous system.
Breathe. Reset. Perform.
When your nervous system is dysregulated, chemistry can feel like alignment.
But a regulated nervous system sees clearly.
Even the strongest people sometimes wear rose-colored glasses.
Awareness is the moment you take them off.
