Let’s talk about lash loss & why you SHOULD wash your lashes daily. 🛁

Losing lashes is a natural part of our hair cycle & it is completely normal. Some lash loss may be a result of not brushing out your lashes. In this case- naturally shed lashes may be sitting on the lash line. This is why we emphasize brushing out your lashes as well. Cyclical shedding may result in a larger amount of shedding. Usually this lash shedding is entirely unrelated to lash washing.

What to look for when seeing fall out during lash washing:

Healthy Shedding:
• One single natural lash is attached to each fallen extension

Signs of non-natural Shedding:
• Only extensions are falling out without a lash attached
• Extensions are falling out “Chunks” at a time
• Multiple extensions falling out within the first few days of lash application

If you are experiencing excessive shedding with every wash- contact your lash artist.

At the end of the day- WASH YOUR LASHES DAILY 🧼

If lashes are left unwashed- build up will occur, leading to larger amounts of lash shedding and a decline in the lifetime of extensions overall.
