Some singers experience unpredictable vocal quality during pregnancy, with sudden changes in tone, pitch, or endurance that can occur at different stages, particularly during various trimesters.

Hormonal fluctuations affecting vocal cord function and mucus production, increased blood volume and circulation impacting vocal cord vibration, and posture and breathing changes due to the growing uterus may contribute to these changes.

Singers may notice vocal fatigue and strain, pitch instability or fluctuations, changes in tone or timbre, and decreased vocal range or control.
