I’ve made one for normal to oily skin, with Tea Tree, Lavender, Chamomile oils, and another one for sensitive skin, with Cacao, Colloidal Oatmeal, and Chamomile Roman essential oil.
The texture is silky, soft and light.

The story behind the Ölsüss Magnesium Oil…
Around 12 years ago, my son was 7 or 8 and struggling to fall asleep at night, I started playing meditation for kids on the phone for him to listen, and also researching about what natural ingredients could help with relaxation etc, and it was then when I found magnesium oil, wich plays a vital role in muscle function, bone development, and promoting calmness.
So I decided to make a blend with Lavender essential oil to add a little more soothing and calming effect, and I applied it on his feet, with a massage… let me tell you, the boy was sleeping a few minutes after the little ritual. Success!
(And a beautiful bonding moment at night)
Years passed, and I found myself into the surprising and uninvited journey of Menopause! With all the symptoms in the menu, I started sleeping in crazy cycles, waking up at 3 am and having trouble to rest. A year and a half ago, while thinking again about natural ingredients that could help me with this condition, I happily remembered that magnesium oil night ritual! Yessss, and this time I made the upgraded version: hydrating and moisturizing, in a roll-on bottle for easy application and traveling.

I also use it on neck and lower back for localized pain and when I travel.

The Centifolia Rose (“hundred-petaled rose”). It blooms mainly in May — which is where the name comes from.

Today, it is cultivated in:

Grasse — the legendary perfume-growing region associated with Chanel, Dior, and the heritage of French perfumery. The terroir, light, and climate there are considered exceptional for aromatic richness.
Morocco — especially for large-scale rose absolute production.
Egypt — another major producer for the fragrance industry.
Tunisia — some perfumery suppliers source centifolia from there as well.
Smaller cultivation also exists in parts of Italy, Bulgaria, and other Mediterranean climates, though Bulgaria is more famous for damask roses than centifolia roses.

The flowers are still handpicked very early in the morning during a very short blooming window in May

The Rose de Mai (centifolia rose) blooms in several regions around the world during spring. The most celebrated May bloom happens in southern France, especially around Grasse — which is why the flower became known as “Rose de Mai.” I was never a ‘rose person’ until I walked those fields and smelled them at sunrise, fresh and humid sharing a little warm golden sun with me.
The creation of the Ölsüss Rose Oil is absolutely inspired by the Rose of May and I’ve chosen the Centifolia Rose as the main ingredient, embracing it with copaipa, rosewood and enhanced with geranium to fully open the hart and bloom.
