Chanice is one of those hair stylists that is always up for the challenge, loves to learn more and further her craft, and is very approachable. You’ll be able to take a deep breath in her chair and will probably find yourself laughing at some point.
She’s been apart of our team for a couple years now, and I’ve loved watching her development. She has a ton of experience in curly hair types and has really enjoyed blossoming more into a more seasoned wedding stylist.

How to prepare for your bridal hair and makeup trial: part 1! 👰🏼♀️
When looking at inspiration photos, make sure to:
1. Look for the same hair color as you.
2. Look for the same hair length (if possible) as you.
3. Be open to using hair extensions if necessary for your desired hairstyle.
4. Look for the same eye color as you.
5. Look for the same skin tone as you.
6. Toggle off the AI feature where possible.

I don’t care if the photographer shows up earlier than originally planned - if they want to grab detail shots, getting ready shots, etc, that’s fine by me.
BUT if they start looking at the time constantly [in front of the client], taking the client physically out of my chair to go somewhere while I’m still working on them, and making it seem like we’re the hold up when they arrived extra early and we’re still running on time - that’s not cool.
Wedding vendors need to work together. I always say that as hair and makeup artists, we are the first vendor who kicks off a wedding day and I have so much respect for ensuring we aren’t the reason the other vendors time is sacrificed and the important details the client carefully planned aren’t missed.
I just ask for the same respect in return. We’ll always provide a buffer between our hair and makeup ready time and the first look/ceremony/travel time - whichever applies to that wedding. Let’s work together, respect the time and care that goes into each other’s craft, and remember at the end of the day it’s about the client’s satisfaction with BOTH of us! 💕
You’d think because I work in the industry I’m on top of my hair care…truth is I get haircuts once, maaaaaybe twice a year. At least I keep it simple! 😆

Beautiful bride Cait’s wedding is coming up next week, so it felt like the right time to post about her beautiful engagement session! 💍
We see a lot of engagement sessions that take place on beaches, in gardens, and at Hartford City Hall…but have you ever seen one taken in a library?! 📚
