Happy 3 years in business to Sport to Spa Massage & Bodywork! 🎉

It feels like just yesterday I was moving to Midland and feeling so worried about starting over and going out on my own.

Like any small business, there are good days, bad days, days where you question it all, and days where you’re just filled to the brim with so much gratitude—today is one of those days 😃

I couldn’t do it without my clients (seriously I have THE best clients), and for my beautiful treatment room 💞

Time flies when your job is fun! 💖

If you are a current client (or a client that has seen me at least once before), let’s get you booked for January and February of 2026 😃

One way that I give priority to my current clients is that I allow them to book farther out than what my online booking system allows.

If you want to make sure your health & wellness is set up to be a priority in 2026, send me a text at 432-242-5556 and we will get you scheduled.

**For new clients, I will announce when I am back to taking new clients in the new year 💜

💜

“Why do massage therapists charge so much per hour?”

A question we hear often — and a great one.

The hour you spend on the table is only a fraction of the work your therapist does. Massage is incredibly physically demanding, so we’re limited in how many clients we can safely and effectively treat each day.

Behind the scenes, there’s a lot more happening: endless loads of laundry (yes, every client gets fresh, clean sheets), marketing, scheduling, cleaning, client notes, and bookkeeping. Add to that the overhead no one sees — rent, taxes, insurance, continuing education, and the steady supply of oils, tools, and linens that keep a practice running.

And unlike traditional jobs, massage therapists don’t get paid vacation or paid sick days. When we’re sick or recovering from an injury, we simply can’t work. Our rates help us save for those unavoidable days so we can continue caring for you long-term.

But here’s the real heart of it: regular massage isn’t just a service — it’s an investment in your body’s long-term well-being.

For many clients, consistent treatment reduces chronic pain, improves mobility, calms the nervous system, and restores a quality of life they thought they’d lost. The value of waking up without that constant ache, moving without fear of a flare-up, or finally sleeping through the night is priceless.

When you book a session, you’re not paying for just an hour of massage; you’re supporting skilled, thoughtful care that helps you feel and function better every day.

Thank you for supporting the work that supports you. 💛

With the holidays fast approaching, I am blessed to say that my books are already jam packed for the rest of the year. To prioritize my current clients’ needs, I have made the decision to not accept any new clients for the duration of 2025.

If you’re a regular client who needs to get in for a massage (or even if you’ve just seen me in the past for a session or two)—send me a text at 432-242-5556, and I’ll be sure to add you to my cancellation list. This policy change will hopefully make it easier for my current clients to get on my schedule!

If you’re a new client who is disappointed and was hoping to get in this year—please know that I do plan to revisit this policy in the new year. You’re still welcome to reach out and be added to the waitlist as well.

Thank you for understanding, and for keeping me blessed & busy 🙏🏻❤️

In a word: no; cupping marks are NOT bruises.

Unlike bruises (which are caused from trauma or injury), cupping marks are created from suction that brings blood, lymphatic fluid and cellular waste to the surface of the skin, leaving a temporary discoloration.

Benefits of cupping include:
🌀 Targets stubborn knots & trigger points
🌀 Rapidly warms and hydrates muscle tissue & fascia
🌀 Improves blood & lymph circulation
🌀 Releases scar tissue & adhesions
🌀 Relieves pain
🌀 Promotes mobility & range-of-motion

I am now offering both silicone AND vacuum cupping! Silicone cupping is slightly more gentle, easier to use dynamically, and less likely to leave dark marks; whereas vacuum cupping is more intense, better for static cupping, and more likely to leave marks.

Regardless of which style you go with, cupping can be a great addition to your regular bodywork.

Curious about cupping? Book your appointment at sporttospa.com then choose cupping as a free add-on option. To my regulars: we can discuss which style of cupping I think is best for you at the beginning of your appointment 🩵

I used to leave the gym always wondering if I had done “enough.” Enough exercises. Enough weight. Enough reps. Enough mobility. Enough hard work.

These days, I have a much healthier mindset. I showed up. I moved. I gave my best effort. I listened to some good music (or podcast!). I walked out feeling accomplished, instead of not good enough.

I am enough—and so are you.

You don’t need to be perfect. Just move ❤️

Time to get a little real: I just got back from vacation and am having a hard time getting back into the groove this week.

It’s one of my goals this year to post more on social media. If sharing the mobility, wellness and stress relief tricks I use in my day-to-day life can help just a couple people—that would make me incredibly happy.

But this week, I’m waking up later than usual, my routine is all off, and I just don’t have it in me to create content.

Instead of beating myself up for it, I’ll just ride the wave, knowing that I’ll be feeling more inspired, organized and “on it” very soon 😊

In the meantime, here are some sneak peaks from my trip to Yellowstone ❄️❤️
