Yall know I thrive on making sure my clients feel like they’re getting luxury experiences in my chair.

Sometimes I just have to remind myself that I’m good at my job. I love my job. My job doesn’t hate me…

But not every client is for me. Not every client will love me or my work. And it really does hurt (my work self-esteem), so I always try to go back and remind myself of the clients that have supported me on good and bad days.
These clients’ hair just DO the dang thing.

And I hope every client finds a hairstylist that loves them the way I LOVE my clients🤎

How do I handle mature skin as a bridal hair & makeup artist?

Well, first I LISTEN✍🏻
“I don’t want to feel cakey, I don’t want to look like I’m trying to hide my wrinkles, and I want to feel like ME just better”
“I like a slightly Smokey eye, I don’t mind half-false lashes, and I have a particular eye liner I like to use”

I’m always going to encourage my more natural feeling, mature clients to bring their own bases & favorite daily products- let’s break down my moms H&MU for my brothers wedding day✨✨

MY PRODUCTS USED:
• Smashbox photo-finish primer
• Estée Lauder loose finishing powder
• Tarte liquid contour & concealer sticks
• Anastasia cream blush trio
• Huda Beauty packed bronzer
• Tarte blush in natural beauty
• Morphe 35O palette on the eyes & soft brow fill in
• Morphe matte lip in Soulmate

HER PRODUCTS USED:
• Clinique Moisture surge sheertint hydrator
• Tarte rose gold metallic eyeliner
• Water proof mascara of her choice

And there you go! Giving them the option of using their own trusted base, ensures their all day comfort - on the flip side of this tho, I typically am only comfortable using them if it is a sheertint (as they’re less likely to react weird to MY products) OR I perform a small patch test combined with my stuff!
