was an amazing clinic to house my business. I will miss this space, the business owners I worked alongside, and my clients!

Such a cool opportunity 🙌🏻

Everyone, meet our September Business of the Month, Midvalley Massage and Hypnotherapy! Read below to learn more about what makes Midvalley Massage awesome.

"I have been a massage therapist for 8 years and in business for 3. I have always had a passion for listening to people's stories and helping those who have been through some of life's most difficult challenges. For me, this means trauma survivors. My goal is to give survivors a safe space: To receive support and a safe touch, build trust, and help with some of their symptoms at the same time.

A lesser-known symptom of anxiety and stress is chronic pain. When we are in fight or flight, our muscles tense up in order to react to the stress response. My job then becomes to help relax the central nervous system to signal safety, so that my clients can get some relief from their pain."

I do NOT accept tips. Period.

This always shocks my clients. Leave me a review as a way to show your appreciation instead 💙

As a business owner and the sole massage therapist in my practice, I set my prices in order to pay myself what I need while keeping it fair for my clients.
I don't want you to have to stress about how much to give me, worry it isn't enough, or feel a financial burden because you feel obligated to pay extra.

That said, massage therapists who work for franchises, chiropractors, and spas make most of their money from tips, so it is still very much appreciated from the therapists in those circumstances.

Glutes. Never skip glutes (unless you're uncomfortable with it).

Tight glutes may be contributing to your low back pain. Glutes and hip flexors are also directly linked to the fight or flight response (clients with anxiety, I'm looking at you)!

When the fight/flight response is activated, your body diverts blood flow to your hips and legs in case you have to run from a tiger! Que "heart dropping moments" like when a car swerves into your lane suddenly.

Luckily for us, avoiding tigers is a very rare occurrence. Unlucky for us, we have very stressful, fast paced lives that trick our minds into THINKING there is a tiger to run from.

Stress=fight/flight=sore muscles. Science 😉
So, never skip glutes.

I asked in a networking group today why people don't get regular bodywork and the number one reason is...MONEY.
So, what if we made it more accessible and more affordable for everyone?

That's exactly what Yomassage® classes are all about!
Would more affordable group classes that incorporate massage, yoga (stretch and breath), and guided meditation interest you? Leave me a 🙋‍♀️ below if you lit up when you read that!!

Research shows that we start to see a positive impact when we receive 10-15 minutes of safe touch! If you have the time and the means, why not once a week?? Try to book a Yomassage® session at least once a month, and if you can, go weekly! And try to be intentional about incorporating safe and positive touch into your daily life to help improve your sleep, feelings of connectedness, and mental health.
