Another "No" for me.

KAINE is a relatively new brand on the market and I was stoked to get my hands on their Rosemary Relief Gel Cleanser. I love their minimalist aesthetic and I love gel cleansers. This one is supposed to be soothing with salicylic acid to exfoliate and fight against acne. Everything I want in a cleanser for my combo acne prone skin. The packaging is chic and comes with a pump which is a added bonus.

The gel texture has a thinner consistency and doesn't foam too much. The pump makes it convenient to use. It cleans well without being to drying. My problem is the strong smell. I can tolerate a mild to moderate scent but this one has an overpowering herbal smell. The ingredients includes extracts such as cabbage, spinach, broccoli, lettuce, cucumber and the main ingredient rosemary. It's a medley of everything green! Also, why does a cleanser need extracts from that many plants?! I cannot stand the smell so I will not be repurchasing. I also wouldn't recommend because there are other cleansers out there that does the same thing and smells pleasant.

Is it worth the hype??

After using these two on and off for some time, I'm ready to share my thoughts. The Protein Treatment is meant to be a wash off hair mask. The Ion Injection(smaller bottle) is a leave in treatment. I didn't notice much of a difference with my hair when using these. It felt no different from other conditioner, hair mask or leave in treatment that you can find at the drugstore. IMO, it's not worth the hype. I love the cute packaging but I will not be repurchasing. I'll stick with my tried and true "It's a 10 miracle leave in product" which leaves my hair silky smooth.

I recently received my FREE cushions from PZY Beauty Skincare. This was a great opportunity to try out their new fancy cushion so thanks to the brand for doing this awesome giveaway! I got both shades 21 & 23. I'm wearing shade 23 here.

Pros~~~
🩷I love the packaging, it's beautiful and compact. It's quick and easy to apply/reapply as needed. You can toss it in your purse for work/travel/etc.
🩷The formula is feels light, moisturizing and offers good coverage(can be buildable). I did a sheet mask prior to applying the cushion so this may have affected how well it applied.
🩷Long lasting - A little goes a long way, I only use 2 pumps for the entire face. It stayed for about 6 hours, but a quick reapplication will have you looking fresh again.

Cons~~~
🍋The line offers 2 shades only so if you are darker this would not be suitable. Personally, shade 23 is too light for my liking. There's also a slight pink undertone.
🍋Some caking around the nose area. (I have combo skin, oily around T zone)

Overall, I think this is a good cushion especially if you like the "tone up" effect. The price point is reasonable. They are currently offering $20/each on their website. In comparison, TIRTIR's viral Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation ranges from $15-$25. My preference is something closer to my skin tone. Have you tried this cushion or skincare from PZY? I'm hoping to try out her skincare products in the future so stay tuned!

I love B.LAB as a brand because their products are simple, affordable and works well for me. However, I can’t say I love this cleansing oil. This is the PHA Perfect Pore cleansing oil. I’ve had it for a while now & I’m still not done. Oil cleansing is great to get rid of sunscreen/makeup and to unclog pores. What I don’t like about this one is the texture. The consistency is thinner compared to other oil cleansers. It doesn’t glide smoothly and feels a little rough on the skin. I think this is because of the PHA which is supposed to help exfoliate while cleansing. The concept of exfoliating & double cleansing is great, it just doesn’t work for this formulation. The cleansing power is comparable to other oil/balm cleansers that I’ve tried before but it’s the rougher texture that doesn’t work for me. I’m still going to finish it but I wouldn’t recommend.

Pamper your skin without breaking the bank! Everyday skincare should be affordable and effective. This is my current cream and I got it for only $6! This is a light gel cream that absorbs well into the skin (non-oily) which is great for oily or combo skin. It has rice which helps with brightening. If you are sensitive to fragrance, make sure the jar is labeled "unscented/fragrance free." If you are on a budget, check out the skincare aisle at your local Marshall's! I always make sure the packaging states "Made in Korea" if it is a brand that I've never heard of.

I emptied this one a while back and here are my thoughts. This is the Beauty of Joseon Sun Serum. As you can see, this comes in a beige gel serum. It feels more like a primer and has a dewy finish. This sun serum has Panax Ginseng extract as a key ingredient which is anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. As a sunscreen, I think this one works fine: doesn't sting the eyes and offers great sun protection (SPF 50).

I didn't like it. The herbal smell was too strong and the formulation was too thick/greasy for my combination skin. This may work better for dry skin and for someone who wears makeup daily (due to the texture it could work as a primer?). But if you can't stand a herbal scent, this is not for you.

How gorgeous is this face cream?! The light lavender scent is so calming and that texture is beautiful. I am definitely looking forward to trying it! I snagged this for way below retail price. Thanks to my BF for indulging my skincare habits. 😘

This one is for the dry skin girlies! This cleanser is gentle yet effective and doesn't strip your skin of its natural moisture. Some cleansers are too harsh leaving your skin feeling tight and dry. This is a gel cleanser that leaves you feeling nourished and refreshed. It has a nice light scent from the ingredients (not added fragrance) which I enjoyed. This is my third and last bottle.

I shared this cleanser with my sister-in-law who loved it so much it is now a holy grail for her. She has probably gone through more bottles than me! 😂 She has dry sensitive skin and this cleanser works wonders. This is great for dry & combo skin. If you are interested, she does have them available for purchase!

Is there a product that you are eyeing? I reintroduced Mizon's First Essence back into my routine and my skin is loving the extra moisture. I'm already on my second bottle! As we age, supporting skin moisture is so important. This essence contains 94.5% Galactomyces ferment filtrate which is a wonderful ingredient for maintaining youthful skin. If you have dry skin, I recommend adding an essence into your routine.
