maybe you didn’t know but a good chunk of people get blackheads or in their ears due to oil & product build up

do you double cleanse??

double cleansing is an absolute must in my personal skin care regimen and here’s why :

- think of your first cleanse like sweeping - you’re picking up all the dirt and debris to prep the floor to be deep cleansed. if you mop before you sweep, you’re just pushing dirt around
- think of your second cleanse like mopping - after the dirt has been cleared, it’s time to deep cleanse the cracks and crevices to leave the floor cleaned, shiny and polished
- spf (that you should be wearing all day everyday) can be tricky to get off, one cleanse simply doesn’t cut it
- makeup sits in every crack, crevice and pore on the face. the first cleanse will remove the makeup while the second cleanse thoroughly cleans the skin and preps for your skin care to be applied
- even if spf and makeup aren’t on the skin daily, our bodies secret oil & sweat as well as gather dirt, bacteria, pollution and other harmful things on the skin each day. its always important to remove all of the impurities before treating the skin

which cleansers can you double cleanse with? (almost) ANY

ideally it is best to start with a cleanser target toward makeup removal or basic gentle cleansing. oil cleansers, cleansing balms, micellar water and gentle gel cleansers are great first cleansers.

cleansers with more active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, mandelic acid, AHAs, BHAs or other acids are best for second cleansers as these are geared more toward treating the skin

if you only have one cleanser, THAT IS OKAY! you don’t NEED two different cleansers to do double cleansing, just ensure you have the right cleanser for your skin!
