Updates from our medical team 🩺

Jessica Horstmann, FNP-C has been a Nurse Practitioner with NACC since 2024. We are proud to share she has been selected as a Pozen-Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Health Equity Leadership at Yale School of Management. This highly competitive, fully-funded fellowship supports healthcare professionals in earning an MBA for Executives while developing the leadership, financial, and organizational skills needed to address systemic inequities in U.S. healthcare. Jessica looks forward to bringing these tools back to her work at NACC and to amplifying the voices and needs of our community.

Swetha Pradeep, PharmD, is a clinical pharmacist at NACC since 2024, but worked with NACC since 2019. She was awarded the Dr. Dawn K. Smith HIV Prevention Clinical Fellowship from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. The 1-year fellowship provides comprehensive training to clinicians who do not have extensive experience practicing HIV medicine to increase PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) awareness and utilization in under-resourced communities and in populations with higher HIV transmission rates. Swetha is excited to increase her knowledge about HIV medicine, learn from the infectious disease and harm reduction teams, and expand the holistic care NACC provides to a high-risk population.
