We will be slowly reopening on Monday, June 22nd! Please be patient with us as we navigate these uncharted waters with you. Here's what's new in our office going forward:
-HEPA air purifier to aid in cleaning and circulating the air in the treatment room
-Fresh, clean blanket for each client
-All "high contact" surfaces including the massage table and face cradle cover disinfected between clients
-Longer time frames between appointments to allow for thorough cleaning & disinfecting between sessions
-Disposable masks available for clients to wear during their session (when laying face up). Note: Masks are *required* by state mandate. We will provide one for you free of charge or you can bring your own.
-The therapist will be wearing a clean mask and an apron during each session.
-'No contact' thermometer available if you would like to have your temperature screened prior to your massage. This is optional and will be provided only if you request it.
-COVID-19 specific health screening and consent form signed by client prior to the massage
-Revised cancellation policy: no "penalty" for last minute cancellations: Please call and cancel your appointment ASAP if you have any symptoms of illness or begin caring for a person with symptoms. A "no show, no call" is not an acceptable way to cancel your appointment.
-Option to prepay before you arrive for your session if you prefer not to have the "high contact" transaction of paying with a credit card in person
Please do not come in for a massage if any of the above protocols make you uncomfortable. We understand that these new policies mean a different and in some ways potentially less desirable experience. If you feel that coming in right now just isn't "worth it" we understand. We will be here for you in the future when some of these policies will (hopefully) be less stringent. Prepaid sessions and gift certificates never expire, so you don't need to worry about specific timelines for using them.
A note on wearing masks when supine (face up): I received a massage this week and wearing the mask was not as disruptive to the experience as I thought it might be, I forgot I was wearing it part of the time! That being said, everyone's experience is unique; please consider what feels best for you and your body when deciding if massage is right you during these strange times.
