Sharing a bit of good news in the intense year that is 2020...
A big thank you to City Pages Minneapolis for selecting HAUS Salon as "Best Salon/Spa" in their 2020 Best of the Twin Cities issue, on newsstands now. We are humbled to be among such great company.
After all that Minneapolis has experienced in the past several months, to pause, take a breath, and celebrate the good for a moment feels nice. Thank you so much for this honor. ❤️

COVID-19 ARTISTS — HAUS Salon What does 50% capacity mean? It means we can only have half of our staff and their clients in the salon at one time for social distancing purposes. We will need to continue this way until the capacity regulations for Minnesota salons change, and we do yet not know the date this may happen. Below we....

All HAUS Salon locations will be opening June 1st! As confirmed by Governor Walz, Minnesota salons are able to reopen with new safety protocols in place to keep our clients and employees safe. Mpls.St.Paul Magazine talked with Charlie & Jessica and other Twin Cities salon leaders to see what the new normal in salons might look like - read through some of the new ways salons will operate. We'll also be sharing our specific HAUS Salon plans with you shortly, but meanwhile we invite you to book an appointment online now for services beginning June 1. See you soon! https://www.haussalon.com/book-an-appointment
What the Future of Salons Looks Like As they prepare to reopen, local salon owners talk how COVID-19 has colored the salon experience and offer a glimpse of the "new normal."
With concern for our clients, staff, and the community as a whole, we at HAUS Salon have chosen to extend our closure past May 4th.
We expect to get further guidance from the Governor tomorrow, and when we do, we will announce our expected reopening date along with our detailed plans to keep you safe in our salons. The wellbeing of our clients and our team remains our top priority, and we believe that reopening salons too soon could endanger progress made to stop the spread of the virus. We have taken this time to prepare for a safer reopening as we procure PPE equipment and sanitizing supplies, train our staff on enhanced safety procedures, and make adjustments to schedules and spaces. We want nothing more than to be back in the salons doing what we love as soon as is reasonably possible.
During this time we have been making plans to reopen our salons, which will require changes to our usual way of operating day-to-day in the salon. We are currently adjusting our service provider’s schedules where necessary to enable us to accommodate appropriate social distancing guidelines when we reopen. This will likely include varied hours of operation, fewer artists and clients in the salon at a time, and increased physical spacing between clients among other things.
As we adjust schedules, online booking will be unavailable until May 8th. With all of these necessary changes, we will need to adjust schedules and appointments among our artists. We have temporarily disabled our online booking services so that when you book an appointment online with us in the future, it will accurately reflect available appointments with these new safety procedures in place. Online booking will be available again on Friday, May 8th. If you currently have an appointment with us that will be impacted by a necessary schedule change, we will reach out to you via email the week of May 4th. Those already on the schedule, especially those with appointments in the next two weeks, will be given priority when rebooking. You can expect us to remain closed for at least the next two weeks.
We support and thank Governor Walz and his team, along with the healthcare community as they make the best decisions they can to keep Minnesotans safe in these unprecedented times while trying to edge our world back toward normal. We will continue to look to their guidance when making decisions about safely operating our business.
Love from all of us,
Charlie & Jessica
