This was the very first scent we launched and there’s a fun story behind the inspiration. I was on a weekend retreat with some friends and forgot to pack my tallow. I used some of my friend’s moisturizer and it was lightly lemon-scented. It was nothing short of amazing and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. When I was formulating the first products before launching this brand I knew I had to have a lemon face cream. I was trying to decide what to pair the lemon with and Jasmine was the immediate choice. Paired together it smells like lemon candy. It’s SO GOOD. Light, sweet, tangy, and refreshing 🍋

Usually Vanilla Bean is our best-selling lip butter but lately Peppermint has been having a moment 🍃
We use a Japanese peppermint instead of the basic candy peppermint. It has a higher menthol content and is exceptionally refreshing.
Made with grass-fed tallow, locally sourced beeswax, organic jojoba oil, natural vitamin E tocopherol, and our prized Japanese peppermint essential oil.
Fun fact: I LOVED the Neosporin lip treatment that was mostly petrolatum. Even as a chemist formulating natural cosmetic products for over a decade, it was all I used. I was on a mission to recreate the texture and feel I loved but with natural ingredients and this formula was the winner 🏆
What does a 14 year career as a cosmetic formulation chemist look like?
This is also a testament to the power of tallow. After formulating high-end skincare products for years, the only thing that ever actually improved my skin was tallow. You don’t need to spend hundreds on fancy formulations-our ancestors had it right the whole time. I am grateful for the experience and knowledge I gained in my time as a cosmetic chemist, otherwise I wouldn’t be here making tallow skincare products! What a wild journey.
