We have very exciting news to share :3 We are releasing a new collection! The Celestial Collection are a lineup of frosty, light-catching shades inspired by constellations and cold night skies. Airy color meets a cool, glassy finish, these are pastels with a little bite. This 5 piece collection includes:

Auriga is a pale, glowing yellow that feels more light than color. Auriga is subtle sunshine. Fresh, soft, and just warm enough to stand out.

Cassiopeia is a soft lilac with a cool, airy feel. Cassiopeia lean
s dreamy but still has presence. Delicate, not dull.

Lyra is a crisp, luminous white silver with a soft glow. Bright without being harsh, Lyra is your go-to for that clean polished, star-lit look.

Orion is a sheer, icy blue with a glassy finish. Cool, crisp, and a little sharp. Orion is that barely-there blue that still makes a statement.

Virgo is a muted sage green with a cool, frosted edge. Clean, earthy, and just a little aloof. Virgo keeps things understated but never boring.

This is a really hard post to write.

After a lot of long conversations and reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to move out of our current space and downsize our business.

This space has meant so much to us. It’s where we hosted workshops, met so many of you in person, laughed, created, and built a community we never could have imagined when we first started. Letting go of that part of the business is truly heartbreaking.

Like many small businesses, the past few years have been challenging. This year in particular has been especially difficult with both the economic situation in the US and the oppression of people in our neighborhood in Minneapolis. At the same time, I recently moved back to my hometown in Canada, which has made it much harder to manage our current location from afar. After a lot of careful thought, we realized that downsizing is the best way to keep the business stable and protect it for the future.

We will be moving to a smaller space in New Brighton, MN, only about a 10 minute drive from our current location. While we won’t have a retail storefront or regular workshops anymore, we will still offer local pickup, and may host small events by appointment in the future.

Important dates:
• Last workshops: April 4 @ 2pm, April 11 @ 11am, April 18 @ 1pm. Please schedule online as spaces are limited.
• Last day open in our retail space: April 18

If you have a workshop credit from a rescheduled class, please reach out to us so we can make sure it’s taken care of.

Although this change is really emotional for us, it’s also about protecting what we’ve built. Downsizing allows us to stay safe during an uncertain economic time and continue creating instead of risking everything.

There are still things to be excited about. We’ll be releasing a new collection soon, and we are currently exploring  expanding to add a small fulfillment area for Canada.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who came to a workshop, visited the shop, supported us online, or simply cheered us on. You helped turn a small idea into something truly special.

The numbers are in and you are all animals in the best way possible. My heart is full with the love and support you have shown our community. Orders will go out over the next couple of weeks as we get some more material to make batches of Ice Out. As more orders come in I will continue to donate. We were able to donate $1250 to mutual aid here in Minneapolis. All from one workshop today. This city is a beautiful place with beautiful people. Try to focus on these moments when there is so much to be angry about right now. More to donate once I can calculate the Ice Out nail polish sales. Fundraising polish alert! Ice Out is available now in our store. 100% of proceeds will be donated to mutual aid through the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund of $13 and will be available for purchase for at least a couple of weeks. A blurple base, blue to aqua shift, and pink reflective glitter.

All of my photography equipment is packed away from our move, so these are the best photos I can offer!

We will be closed this Friday for the statewide general strike. But, we will be open on Saturday from 11-4 and that includes a donation based nail polish workshop! Come on in on Saturday between 12 and 230 to create your own nail polish. Channel that anger and despair into creativity! All proceeds will be donated to the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund through Recommended donation is $13 per polish made, but donate whatever you can afford.

We will be prioritizing safety on Saturday. Our basement is an employee only area and a legal safe zone from ICE who do not have legal signed warrants. Park in our back lot, and enter through our back door if you feel unsafe entering the Central Ave entrance. Give a hearty bang on the back door or gate and we will let you in :)

Cannot make it in person? We will be releasing a fundraising nail polish that will be available for purchase starting Saturday. More details to follow.
