Things are still tough here in Minnesota. Our communities are not "back to normal" and there are still so many of our neighbors who don't feel safe leaving their homes regardless of their status.

We have been quiet lately but that is only because we are doing the actual hands on work to help keep our community safe, fed and housed.

This work is stressful and it can be pretty hard on your body too - remember that it is harder to help others when you are not taking care of yourself.

How do we relax at the end of a tough day?
Magnesium spray - it helps with sore muscles, reduces restless legs and brings down stress and anxiety levels. Spray throughout the day or before bed, directly on skin. Neck, shoulders, calves and bottoms of feet. **Do not spray on open (freshly shaved) skin since it is a salt and will sting!**

THIS IS NOT NORMAL. What is happening across the country right now is not ok. Here at Sebesta Apothecary we stand proud with our neighbors and community members who are immigrants. 

Renee Nicole Good lost her life earlier this week in Minneapolis as a result of ICE's overly aggressive military style tactics in response to interactions with unarmed civilians. 

Our thoughts are with her family and friends who are grieving her loss. We as a community here in Minneapolis are also in pain and we are angry. As are many other communities and cities across the nation who are also experiencing the administration's unnecessary aggression. 

I'll say it again, this is not normal.

Take the time to grieve and hug a loved one. Then call your local elected officials and tell them what you think about what is currently happening. Then grab a friend and flex your constitutional right to peacefully protest. Know your rights and speak up. This will continue as long as folks stay silent. 

Since early 2025 we have been making a line of products specifically for the resistance. 100% of the proceeds from our Uff Da line go to an organization called Indivisible, they work to organize folks and help them find ways to take action. They help coordinate protests, guide you through the process of contacting your senators and representatives, and provide education about your rights and some context around current events. If you need a self care break, you might feel a little better supporting a cause while you do.
