Raise your hand if you did a quarantine cut or color on yourself?! 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ Lord knows I did... + even being a hairstylist.. lemme tell you, it did not go well. Ha!

I was telling Paige how many texts I got during quarantine from my clients texting me at night saying “Bekah you’re gonna kill me...”😂 To be honest it brought me more joy that my clients wanted to talk to me at 9pm about their hair during quarantine than the fact that they were messing with their hair at 9pm to begin with. C O L O R Correction - swipe 👉🏼🙌🏼 My client has gone from dark to blonde to dark + wanted to go blonde again. I explained to her no matter what she would have some damage + would need to cut some of her hair. She cut a few inches before we got started + then I had to cut a little more. 💇🏼‍♀️ I used to help as much as possible + tried to be as careful as I could.

Lightening hair that’s already been lightened (underneath the brown) is very tricky. It lifts unevenly most the time + causes some breakage. Luckily my client understood the process + was willing to proceed. We did a {TEST} strand first to make sure her hair could handle it. It could, so we moved forward with the lightening process.

I’ve had to turn people away because I knew their hair couldn’t handle it. If you’re a client + you’re reading this... DO NOT go + find another stylist who is more willing to take your money than care for the integrity of your hair. I had a coworker turn someone away, the client went somewhere else, paid a bunch of money, + her hair was melting off. There are SOOO many factors to getting super blonde, trust your stylist + trust the process! ✌🏼 .

This beauty had 1 inch of natural regrowth + the rest colored brown. She had an upcoming bikini competition + wanted to be as blonde as we could make her for it! It took several hours + tons of lighter but we were pretty happy with the outcome! 😍 I did an treatment on her after to seal her hair cuticle + it left her hair feeling amazing + shiny. .

How the heck is March almost over? 🤭 With Easter right around the corner we got this beauty all fresh for spring! 💐We did lowlights + highlights to really give that subtle balayage look but with pops of blonde to add contrast. I always love lowlights + balayage together because it creates depth + contrast. 👍🏼
